I teach and examine geographical information science (GIS) and applied climatology at undergraduate and postgraduate levels within Geography and Environmental Science degrees and previously for the UNIGIS Distance Learning MSc Geographical Information Systems (GIS). These topics are my specialist areas and my teaching is always research-led, exposing students to the latest research, policy and practice.
Teaching leadership includes coordinator and moderator of several UG and PG modules, including developing assessments, examining, responding to student feedback and need, and preparation of documentation for exam boards.
I am experienced in leading Geography field trips including undergraduate induction fieldtrips to the Peak District National Park and various GIS fieldtrips. Additionally I have taught on several residential field trips including the undergraduate trip to Tenerife for environmental scientists and ecologists.
There are several resources accessible from the top menu for my students and I will add some useful open resources in the future.
